Cellfina Cellulite Treatment Phoenix
North Valley Plastic Surgery is pleased to offer Cellfina to patients suffering from Cellulite. Our office has studied dozens of cellulite treatment systems over the years but none of them have performed as well as Cellfina.
Why should I choose Cellfina at North Valley Plastic Surgery to treat my Cellulite?
- Visibly reduced cellulite after just three days!
- Results last up to two years (if not forever)!
- Highest patient satisfaction rate (96%) compared to other leading cellulite treatments.
The Cellfina™ System is the only FDA-cleared minimally invasive procedure clinically proven to improve the appearance of cellulite for two years. We think that it will last much longer if not forever because of the way Cellfina is performed. With Cellfina, patients can be treated for their cellulite and get quick improvement that lasts for years. Before learning more about Cellfina, it’s important that you understand what Cellulite is and why it’s so hard to treat.
What exactly is Cellulite?
Celluite has long been considered a normal feature of the skin and the name cellulite wasn’t even used until the 20th Century. The majority of women naturally get cellulite and treatments have proven ineffective until recently. Cellulite (also known as adiposis edematosa, dermopanniculosis deformans, status protrusus cutis, gynoid lipodystrophy, and orange peel syndrome) is the herniation of fat and connective tissue that causes dimpling of the skin.
Why do women seem to get cellulite more than men?
Although men get cellulite, the problem is more common in women. Men and women’s fibrous tissue, is usually arranged differently. Men often have a diagonal or cross-hatched fibrous tissue pattern, which lays flat against the muscle tissues. Many women, on the other hand, have vertical fibrous connective tissue, which is more susceptible to cellulite formation.
The skin is anchored to parts of the muscle using these vertical bands of tissue. Small pockets of fat develop in these areas to cause the appearance of cellulite. Women typically have thinner skin than men, which makes their cellulite more visible.
Does excessive weight cause cellulite?
Although many assume weight problems are the only cause of cellulite, it’s normally just one part of the problem. Although a healthy diet and exercise are crucial for a healthy looking body, even people in optimal shape still suffer from cellulite. Some factors that can contribute to the look of cellulite in the skin include hormones and lifestyle choices but it’s mostly genetic luck.
How does Cellfina help cellulite?
Cellfina™ uses a process called “subcision” to treat the structural problems that cause cellulite.
Cellfina™ is classified as a minimally invasive treatment, as it involves a small subcision device to access the cellulite-causing bands.
The Cellfina Procedure
Before the Cellfina treatment begins, the physician will mark the cellulite-dimpled treatment areas on the patient. The skin in these regions is suctioned to smooth the skin which makes the treatment easier. A local anesthetic (lidocaine like you get at the dentist) is administered to numb the target areas. The physician uses the Cellfina to relax the cellulite. It takes about an hour to treat 25 dimpled cellulite areas. Just one treatment is all that is needed.
What is the Cellfina™ System?
Cellfina is the only FDA-cleared minimally invasive procedure clinically proven to improve the appearance of cellulite for at least one year—longer than any other FDA-cleared treatment for cellulite. Performed by a qualified physician in the office at North Valley Plastic Surgery, Cellfina combines proven and innovative technologies to clear the underlying causes of cellulite on the thighs and buttocks.
How does Cellfina work?
After a local numbing solution is administered, your physician uses the Cellfina™ System to target the structural problems that cause cellulite. By releasing the fibrous bands under the dimpled areas, Cellfina can reduce the appearance of cellulite in just one treatment session.
How soon will I see improvements?
Within just three days after treatment, patients in the FDA-approved pivotal study reported feeling very satisfied with their results. At three months, 85 percent of patients were satisfied, and after one year, 96 percent were satisfied, surpassing patient satisfaction rates for all other cellulite treatments.
How long do results last?
Patients in the FDA-approved pivotal study showed significant improvement after just one treatment, with results lasting at least a year—longer than any other FDA-cleared treatment for cellulite.
Are there any side effects?
There have been no serious adverse events associated with Cellfina. The most common side effects reported by patients in the FDA-approved pivotal study were soreness and bruising. Just three days after treatment, patients rated their pain as minimal (2.7 on a scale of 0 to 10; 0=no pain, 10=extreme pain) and most (82%) felt pain only with touch or pressure to the area treated. This minimal pain improved quickly with time. Over 90% of patients had no bruising at 4 weeks.
How long does the procedure take?
The in-office procedure takes just hours, depending on the individual patient and the number of areas being treated.
Will I need to take time off?
Most people don’t need time off. There is limited downtime associated with Cellfina. Some patients experience initial soreness and tenderness, but these side effects resolve quickly with time. If bruising occurs, you may want to wear clothing that will cover the area until it subsides. Some patients can have discomfort that lasts a few days but most recover quickly. Our goal is to keep you as comfortable during and after your procedure.
How much does the Cellfina treatment cost?
Cellfina starts at $4,000. Treatment costs will vary depending on area of treatment, severity of cellulite, and your goals. We will be able to give you an exact quote at the time of your complimentary Cellfina consultation.
