Smartlipo Scottsdale Look Your Best

Smartlipo Scottsdale

With Smartlipo Scottsdale, you can find a liposuction procedure that is not too invasive when it comes to ridding the body of unwanted fatty pockets. The less invasive the procedure is the less pain, bruising and recovery time is required before seeing the final result. Luckily there are newer laser liposuction procedures in Arizona called SmartLipo and Slim Lipo that are minimally invasive. SmartLipo and Slim Lipo can provide you with the body that you have always wanted and dreamed of.

Some kinds of liposuction have an extended recovery period accompanied by some pain and discomfort. However, this is not the case with SmartLipo and Slim Lipo. To start with these kinds of laser liposuction surgery are done with local anesthesia. The laser serves to seal blood vessels quickly minimizing bruising and swelling. In addition, there is generally little or no pain while it is being performed and afterwards a patient may feel just a few body aches. All body types can be benefit from this type of liposuction surgery although the best results are in patients within the normal weight range.

The best part of both the Slim Lipo and the SmartLipo procedures in Arizona is that they can be used with non-laser types of cosmetic surgery to remove more unwanted fat. That includes problem areas that are small in size like the face, neck, chin, arms, knees and the back.  SmartLipo Scottsdale and Slim Lipo Phoenix can have you back to work in no time. In fact, laser liposuction has become known as “Lunchtime Lipo” because some people go in for a lunch hour treatment and then go back to work in the afternoon! This type of surgery generally only takes one session and the results can be seen immediately after the treatment is finished.

Lipoabdominoplasty: An Exciting New Tummy Tuck

shutterstock_23901841

Many of our Phoenix Plastic Surgery patients are interested in the new combination tummy tuck and liposuction operation called Lipoabdominoplasty. This new type of tummy tuck is intended for a patient who has more excess fat in his or her abdomen region, but less excess skin than a traditional tummy tuck patient.

If you opt for the Lipoabdominoplasty operation, your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon will first perform liposuction of your entire abdomen and hip region, beautifully recontouring these areas. The skin of the abdomen is pulled forward to help define the waistline and tighten some of the areas even in the back of the waistline area. In addition, once the liposuction of the abdominal area is complete, the skin is pulled taut from the rib cage down to the umbilicus, tightening the whole front abdomen area. Excess skin is removed via a curving incision from the public region to the hip area.

The end result of this exciting new procedure is a beautiful contoured waist and front profile from the ribcage to the pubic area, and with the added benefit of having no extra pockets of exercise resistant fat to battle with afterward! Lipoabdominoplasty is a new and exciting development in body contouring for all patients as well as those were undergone massive weight loss after bariatric surgery. Board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Steven Gitt is one of the few plastic surgeons in this part of the country who has substantial experience in performing this new and very special operation.

Liposuction: The Cure For Unwanted Fat

Having unwanted fat around your hips, chin, upper arms, buttocks, backs, lateral thighs, inner knees, and breasts is not a very desirable feature. There are surgical procedures to help to rid your body of these localized collections, the most popular and versatile of which is liposuction. This procedure is also known by several names: Liposuction, Suction-Assisted Lipectomy, Liposculpture, and Lipoplasty.

While liposuction does define the body to make it look the way that you want it to, it is not to be used as a tool for weight loss. The end result will take on its full effect about 6-weeks after the surgery. Liposculpture is a refined method of shaping certain areas of the body to a pleasing shape, rather than just getting rid of fat.

Both men and women can choose to have liposuction performed. The procedure can be done with various types of anesthesia from general to local depending on from where the fat is being taken. This type of plastic surgery is performed by making an incision near the problem area and injecting tumescent fluid- a combination solution containing an anesthetic and a medication that minimizes bruising. There are various tools that can be used during this procedure including a laser or ultrasonic probe. These do not have to be used, as a suction cannula is the actual tool that drains the fat from the body. The cannula is placed in the fat collection and suction is used to evacuate the unwanted fat.

All different types of areas on the body can be transformed with liposuction. Each person is unique and the area will depend on what they are seeking to improve. There are factors that must be looked at to determine who is a perfect candidate for this surgical procedure. Those factors include a person that is not overweight, but is carrying extra fat in certain areas like the breasts and hips, belly or thighs. Other factors include overall medical status, the presence of hernias, the quality of the skin, prior surgeries and the overall expectations of the patient. After surgery, a compression garment must be worn for up to 4-6 weeks. If any small sutures were used to close the access sites, they might be either dissolvable or non-dissolvable. Non-dissolvable sutures will be removed 5-10 days after surgery.

While liposuction is referred to as a surgery, it is actually often performed as an outpatient procedure in the North Valley Plastic Surgery state-of-the-art Outpatient Center.  The typical recovery time varies depending on the type of liposuction performed, the amount of fat removed, and the part of the body that had the treatment.  Some procedures may let you to take no more than a weekend before resuming your normal routine.  Check with your surgeon about your individual procedure.

Fad Facelifts

Shopping for a Facelift

What’s the scoop on trendy facelift surgery?

Our Scottsdale Face lift surgery and Phoenix Facelift patients present asking about the Lifestyle Lift™, Stem Cell Facelift, Beverly Hills Facelift, and the Scottsdale facelift procedures. This groundswell of interest in Fad facelifts is a result of the sophisticated marketing efforts of those surgeons who promote these nouveau facelift operations. Well trained Phoenix Plastic Surgeons, such as the four on staff here at North Valley Plastic Surgery, will always recommend the best combination of procedures for their patient’s, regardless of bias, trends, or their own economic interests. Rather than have our patients ask for a particular procedure, we would like to hear about what specific signs of aging concern each one of our patients. This approach allows us to draw upon our expertise and choose the specific procedure, or procedures, that will most effectively and precisely address each and every patient’s concerns. Quite simply, when all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail! Our individualized and customized approach to your facial aging concerns will result in the best possible outcome that will address your concerns precisely and appropriately.

The Lifestyle Lift procedure is marketed as a 1-2 hour operation done with the patient awake under purely local anesthesia. The operation itself uses a limited dissection coupled with placement of large braided sutures into the facial muscle layer (the SMAS) to tighten the cheeks. The neck skin and fat are not addressed unless you pay extra money! The Lifestyle Lift™ was designed by a Troy, Michigan Otolaryngologist (ENT) who, as far as we know, has not completed a residency training program in Plastic Surgery! The numerous “franchisees” scattered about the country include other ENT’s and surgeons of all specialties. The Lifestyle Lift™ company was fined by the New York State Attorney General for having their staff make false internet postings posing as satisfied patients! We believe that the Lifestyle Lift™ is a very poor choice for anybody who wants to have an artfully done, elegant, and beautiful facial rejuvenation procedure.

Again, “when all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail! The Stem Cell Facelift has been marketed by certain surgeons as a unique and special new operation when all it really appears to be is a face lift coupled with autologous fat transfer. Harvesting fat from another body region and grafting it into the face to correct volume deficiencies is an accepted technique that all of our Phoenix Plastic Surgeons and Scottsdale Plastic Surgeons here are fully trained and well experienced in. Yes, there are stem cells in fat! That is an accepted fact. But, is re-naming a standard procedure as something new, unique, and special really helpful? Is that sort of reinterpretation really in your best interests? Or is it just another marketing strategy designed to drum up business?

The Beverly Hills Facelift, and the Scottsdale face lift  surgery procedures have also been marketed over the years and they are also just permeations of the standard facelift procedures.

Yes, we do perform the Stem Cell Facelift here at North Valley Plastic Surgery! But, we only offer this operation to the appropriate candidates. We customize our approach to each and every patient so that we achieve the best possible outcome and precisely address your concerns. By choosing to have your Scottsdale face lift surgery or Phoenix Facelift with one of our formally trained Plastic Surgeons here at North Valley Plastic Surgery, you will ensure that your surgeon is properly trained and well experienced in facial rejuvenation surgery. All four of our Plastic Surgeons are trained in both General surgery and Plastic Surgery and will address your concerns in a customized manner. We will explain all of your options in an understandable way and, thereby, allow you to make an educated and informed decision. We feel that our patient’s first opportunity to choose the best surgeon, the best operation(s), and the best time to have their surgery are the most important choices.
