ThermiVa™ in Phoenix, AZ

Many women who live in or around Phoenix, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, and the surrounding communities of Arizona, have reported problems with diminished sexual health due to symptoms of vaginal laxity, sexual dysfunction or related issues. Arizona Facial Plastics, PC, under the leadership of Dr. Farhan Taghizadeh, a board-certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, is pleased to offer ThermiVa, an innovative and non-invasive solution to these issues that will help you rejuvenate your sexual health and wellness, giving you restored confidence and a renewed passion for getting the most out of life.

What Is ThermiVa™?

Vaginal laxity, orgasm experience-related problems, lack of lubrication due to vaginal dryness, and then those embarrassing situations with stress incontinence, all of these are interrelated intimacy issues that can lower your quality of life. Why be satisfied with less when you can have more? ThermiVa™ is a non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation procedure that uses radio-frequency technology to treat incontinence, dryness of the vagina, and laxity of the vagina, non-invasively and with no downtime.

What are the Benefits of ThermiVa™?

As we age quite naturally, our body undergoes changes, and this is true both outside and inside. During menopause, women experience these changes in the area of the vagina and labia, and each woman’s unique history, including pregnancy and past medical issues, will affect whether and how these problems manifest themselves for a particular patient. ThermiVa™ is a technologically advanced non-surgical treatment that utilizes controlled thermal energy to stimulate new tissue generation. The treatment is virtually pain-free, with no downtime, and is not surgical.

Who is a Candidate for ThermiVa™?

ThermiVa™ uses RF (radio frequency) to shrink vaginal tissue and it can also work to increase lubrication if vaginal dryness is also a problem. There is very little risk of excessive scar tissue occurring or of desensitization, and all women 21 and over are good candidates for ThermiVA. Because this innovative treatment is completely non-invasive and pain-free, there are not many limitations on who can get the procedure done. In particular with ThermiVA, the tightening achieved is often sufficient to address urinary stress incontinence. This convenient procedure is done in our office and requires little or no post treatment  down time, particularly when compared with invasive surgical approaches to treatment. ThermiVa™ not only makes the ability of your muscular contractions to be stronger, it also enhances the sensitivity of all of the soft tissue surrounding the vagina, in such a way that any sagging can be visibly reduced on the outside, while simultaneously working to tighten the vaginal opening and all the way through the entire length of the vaginal canal.

What is the Procedure for ThermiVa™?

Treatments with ThermiVa™ will usually take place with a set of three treatments, which can be administered every three to four weeks with noticeable real improvement after your very first session. After assuring your comfort, the ThermiVa™ device is used to warm the temperature of the vaginal tissue and labia with a special applicator that’s gently moved over the labia and inner tissue, slowly heating the surface, a process that results in significantly increased collagen production and tissue tightening. You should experience no pain whatsoever, and your treatment will take less than 30 minutes to complete. Reports on the efficacy of the procedure in initial clinical studies of ThermiVa™ by the Food and Drug Administration led the FDA to classify ThermiVa™ as safe for non-surgical treatment of vaginal laxity.

How Much Does ThermiVa™ Cost?

Most health insurance providers will not provide coverage for the costs of ThermiVa™. To help our patients afford ThermiVa™ treatments, so they can feel better, live happier, and experience genuine sexual health, Dr. Taghizadeh offers several payment options, including cash, check, major credit cards and financing through CareCredit®.
